Aida Ponce del Castillo
Aida Ponce Del Castillo is a Mexican born former international open water swimmer. She graduated from the Anusara Yoga Teacher Training at the Tree of Life as an Anusara Elements teacher in 2018 and obtained the Anusara Inspired license in 2021. Her classes are fun, creative and dynamic, focusing on specific parts of the body, with the objective to reconnect and work with them; consciously, calmly and in a fluent relationship, just like a swimmer and the water that surrounds him or her. Aida started practicing Iyengar yoga in 2006 to improve her performance in open water swimming races. She gradually discovered that, thanks to yoga, she was able to “fly” through the water, rather than just swim in it. Aida’s favourite pose is Paripurna Navasana (the boat pose). This is a pose that focuses on balance but also tones abdominal muscles, relieves stress and makes you feel free!
